Introduction

Morpeth is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive school situated in Bethnal Green. The school is designated as an 8 form entry institution for 1200 students, including 80+ SEN pupils. It's specialism is both the visual and the performing arts. The coming development, within the BSF programme, will ideally place the school in a position to open wide its doors to the community and pupils, improving provision for SEN pupils and developing of facilities for 16-19. Since September 2009, the school indeed changed its status to become an 11-19 school, part of the Cambridge Heath Sixth Form Federation and its pleasant campus, with a mixture of new buildings and refurbished ones, is also providing accomodation for adult community use, The Globetown Learning Community and intends to become a training school.
